Purple Activations

The Empathy Box, by Make the Change and supported by The Purple Parade, is a ready-to-run Accessibility and Inclusivity Booth that gives students a hands-on way to explore accessibility, understand different experiences and discover how assistive technology can help remove barriers.

The booth features activities across five pillars: Vision, Hearing, Mobility, Cognitive and Speech.

Register by 11 October at makethechange.sg/empathy-box.
Limited to 150 schools, on a first-come, first-served basis.

After registering, schools will attend one briefing session:

• 12 October: Online, 3.30–4.30pm
• 26 October: In-Person, 3.30–4.30pm

Each school will also identify a facilitator. This can be a teacher, Special Needs Officer or parent volunteer.

What’s in the Empathy Box?

• Hands-on simulation items, including eye masks, simulation glasses and ear mufflers
• Stickers for participating students
• Printable Empathy Bingo cards
• Station cards and facilitator guide
• Illustrated Accessibility and Inclusivity Booth poster

The booth can be run during recess, lunch, school carnivals, Values in Action programmes, assemblies or other school activities.

Boxes may be collected at the briefing sessions. Collection arrangements will be confirmed upon successful registration.
